Believe you already have the job, imagine what you have been doing and how you have done it and try and give them an image of you doing the job. If you can get them to see you doing it in their mind it's yours. Good luck, ... Oh and smile

Did two community placements as a student nurse years ago and loved them. Both were in the area im applying for. After doing years in hospital setting I need a change xx

Lol my friend has one today for a district nurses job too.. unless your working in south devon im guessing interview day for the nhs must be on a Wednesday..

Nice to see youve got your name back cute. Nah in my area lol. Only spoke to the senior nurse yesterday and she asked me to come in today as she was free this morning xx

I work for DN as admin. Have to say it is nothing like the slow paced lifestyle they showed recently with Bath DN's. However I believe it to be very fulfilling professionally.

I have had some insight to the work involved as a student. I dont expect it to be a walk in the park but its not goung to be as msnic as acute hospital nursing with umpteen people demsnding your time all at the same time. Thsnk you for your good wishes xx

I wish you every success. I didn't think district nurses still existed.

When I was younger, district nurses were part of everyday life and almost universally welcomed in a way social workers can only dream of.

District nurses could pick up on things like local outbreaks of children's diseases long before 'the system' ever did.

Well guys, that went very well for an informal interview. Have been asked to put in a formal application so they can formally interview me. Senior nurse said she wanrs me to start asap. So looking good unless I bollocks up the formal stage xx
