If you dunk a biscuit in a cup of tea for a little too long, it goes soggy and breaks off.

BUT, if you dunk the same sort of biscuit in hot chocolate, it takes loads longer to go soggy

hows that work then ??

my flabber has never been so ghasted

water boils at 200 degrees celcius

milk boils at a lower temp...

So your hit choc made with milk is a lower temp than the tea....

Could be the higher fat content in the milk. Experiment, dunk a biccy in cold water and another in cold milk

One of the guys at work was talking about something similar today.

He has a book which is basically talking about the science of biscuit dunking.

In it he said a chocolate covered biscuit won't disintegrate as the sugar in the chocolate holds it together, whereas a tea biscuit or digestive doesn't have that protection.

I wonder if something similar is working there
