That Awkward moment....

Titz Towers, North Notts

where you are in a clothes shop (Revolve in Nottingham) and the assistant asks if she can help you find what you are looking for....

You have to think, do I bailout, claim to be Christmas shopping, or ask if they have anything with a high neck, size 10/12, but with a bit of stretch across the bust and a lively pattern on it....

I went with option 3, told her it was for me and she was totally wonderful, asking questions about make up and where did I go and so on. It fair made me wish that I had a picture of myself enfemme, on my phone.

I agree - it has resulted in her finding me quite a nice leopard print dress

Almost the exact opposite happened to me once...about three Christmas's ago I bought my ex a pair of nice high heeled shoes, in a dainty size 5. The young female shop assistant asked with a straight face and a serious tone whether I'd like to try them on before buying. Being 6"5 and a rather stocky 18st and wearing size 12's I didn't know whether she was having a laugh or not. I found out later the shop is used by both males and females for womens clothing etc but I to stunned to come up with a witty response!

Size 12 and buying a size 5 would be ambitious if they were for yourself!

She did ask if I wanted to try it on, but I had to point out that I wear breast forms that are of the 'enthusiastic size' category and without them it wouldn't hang right.

I was very impressed with the service and everything
