How do you slice yours?

In triangles, rectangle, squares or what.

I've just had a cheese on toast and normally slice in two rectangular shape, but today sliced in two corner to corner, triangular shaped, I'm sure it tasted better.

lol They always do in triangles, so why I cut them through the middle god only knows....although if I cut Mr R's in triangles they wouldn't fit in his butty box

I don't slice 'em at all.

Just bung 2 slices of bread together, fold it in half and stuff the bugger down me neck

Lol, I did that the other week and thought the same, how damn irritating!

Thought about starting a thread on it but thought, how sad would that be?

Next time I think I'm gonna cut my sandwich through the middle and just end up with the two separate slices of bread I started with

Menston near Ilkley

Forget the butter and use mayonnaise instead for savory sandwiches gives them a lovely piquancy.

I'm gonna try that milk loaf next time, see how they taste in circular fashion.

I bet it's weird, like a muffin (barm cake) but like bread at the same time.

Wow, I'm off to the shops now.

Bacon butties have to be side to side widthways cut so the filling dont fall out.

Cheese ones can be cut anyway but always with the crust off.

Crisp pieces well they are just buttered bread folded in half stuffed full of crisps so no cutting needed

Hubby however has to be reminded to cut the bread when making sandwiches cos he just slaps bread round the filling and stuffs in his gob

He even makes a big deal out of me asking for mine cut cos if I lift up an uncut sandwich the filling will fall out the other end and land on me lap

Sandwiches do taste better cut into triangles.

Similarly carrots taste better cut into baton shapes rather than round or diced, don't you agree?

I can't usually be bothered to make the extra cut into triangles but...

If the crusts stay on, then down the middle into 2 retangular shapes.

If I decide to cut the crusts off, e.g. if I am making sandwiches for a function, then I would slice diagonally into quarters.

The latter is more work, hence I seldom make sandwiches for a function.

Instead, I make filled rolls and baps, much easier than making "posh" sandwiches!

Seconded! Though it's low-fat mayo for moi...

Love a cheeky wee tuna mayo w/ sweetcorn sandwich (wholemeal bread) when I'm out on my rounds. Especially funny when you see some poor sod stood at their door or window waiting for a parcel/letter whilst I'm stuffing my face!

ooooooooooooooh yeah - bacon and egg - and when you press the top slice on and feel the yoke pop- and oooooooze every where - then have to mop it all up with the sandwich, yummy yum.

Rectangles for me too (across the middle not top to bottom) - tho i do eat more crusts when they are in triangles.

.

I butter one side, and mayo on the other, best of both worlds!

Depending on the filling of course.
