I'm amazed by the amount of men and women that still want bareback with total strangers...I'm was wondering if some people..prefer to have regular checks rather then using condoms, especially in group sex situations?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I think some get a thrill from the risk of either pregnancy or an STI - almost like playing Russian Roulette.

Yes, flesh feels better than condoms but condoms feel much better than an STI.

People do what they do, some are honest, some are not and some forget not forgetting some don't care. The best bet is to protect your own health and if you think its risky to play with someone say no thanks as you just won't enjoy it.

I much prefer any type of sex without condoms but if you meeting people regularly you must need to protect them as well as yourself.

It's those people that actively state they are some sort of cum collector that concern me...maybe I'm just getting too old in my ways...I will shouting at the television next!

From BBC website

"More than half of Scots do not know all the ways HIV is transmitted, according to a new survey.

One in 10 (11%) wrongly believe it can be passed by kissing.

A small percentage think it can be spread by sharing a glass (3%) or touching a public toilet seat (2%)."

Scary stuff.

No your not wrong to be concerned but if people want to do that then its their choice as is smoking for smokers or binge drinking. If it makes you feel uncomfortable then avoid.

there is only 1 vector for HIV...

Blood to blood contact...

So if you have a bleeding mouth and you kiss someone with a bleeding mouth you can transmit HIV...

However if everything we have been told about HIV over the last 30 years is true then most of us should be dead and Africa should be empty of all humans, clearly not the case. So just maybe there is a certain amount of social engineering going on and it would be better if everyone found out the real risks rather than pointing fingers and trotting out the same shit all the time!

But then again UP TO 50 million Britons are thick and dont understand that up to 50,000,000 means anything from NONE to 50,000,000. How many of you are really annoyed and shouting now?

But if I change thick to HIV+ how many of you will be rushing to your keyboards to say how we all need to practice safe sex! Not safer sex, just safe sex! How many of you are shouting now? And how many of you use oral dams and condoms for oral, sterile gloves for any sexual contact?

Now you can all have a shout at me and then go back to doing whatever you are doing. Ill continue to go to the GUM clinic every 3 months and 10 days after I sleep with a new partner.

By the way I know the risks and how to reduce them. Probably a lot better than most on here.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

"there is only 1 vector for HIV...

Blood to blood contact..."

As far as I am aware, it is still believed that transmission is possible from contact with infectious fluids other than blood. This includes semen and vaginal fluid. Performing oral sex with a cut or lesion in one's mouth, for example, is still thought to be a transmission risk I believe.

If you have any research to back up your assertion that blood to blood contact is the only transmission vector, I'd be very interested in reading it, please.

"sterile gloves for any sexual contact?"

It wouldn't require sterile gloves, just undamaged, non-porous gloves such as latex or nitrile. They would have to be changed between partners in a group scenario.

Using sterile gloves for anything will not provide any protection over and above using regular non-sterile gloves, unless you've been taught to handle and use them correctly.
