Islands in the stream - Rodgers and Parton - HATE!

Fairytale in New York, to say a hate it would be an understatement.

If I had all the money in the world I'd buy the original song lyrics, the rights to the song, every single and album it has ever had the disgrace to be on, burn it all. I'd ban it from all Christmas parties/piss ups/radio etc

That's how much I hate it.

Have a listen christy moore's version of fairytale of new york on youtube.

It made me realise when it's done right it's a lot more interesting..

Christy moore is fabulous.

Disturbed's 'Sound of Silence'

I find it annoyingly indulgent trash.

It does however remind me to listen to the original to wash out my ears.

(I know Paul Simon claims to love it...)

About 3 feet away from the fence

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us

The whole vibe of the song is weird, because it's essentially about accusing a man of being a pedo, set against a very generic sounding (and frankly, not good) club-inspired instrumental. Kendricks voice is also quite "nasally" anyway.

Also "Sweet Caroline"

England fans have made me hate it.

They actually directly plagiarized this whole singing of Sweet Caroline at sporting events from American sports fans, which makes me dislike it even more just for cultural reasons.

You've taken something cheesey, made it worse & you couldn't even be original about it.

Football fan culture in the UK is rich tapestry of humourous songs that go back many decades. There's no need for us to be culture-vulturing stuff from Yanks. It's embarrassing.

Anything by George Michael.

In essence, if the artist has "Michael" anywhere in their name, I am going to dislike the song on principle.

Absolutely I understand. most hip hop I find is repetitive and samey, some I will admit I do enjoy though.

Ha for sure I wouldn't scoff either. I don't imagine he's a huge sell out like that though. Maybe he genuinely likes it?

Nah....
