Has anyone been in these? I'm about to book for Cardiff to Glasgow for next week to visit a friend up there, I'm super excited! Can't wait!

Be cool if I ended up traveling with a fellow fabber!

no, ive used mega bus loads of times but not the gold, I've had a virtual tour on their website and they look ace, you get a bed and a chair

seriously though who wants a chair when you have a bed

I think they are a good idea, they do night travel so you can sleep through the journey which is better than sitting long distance, last time I used mega bus I was on over 10 hours, my bum and back was killing when I got there and I was bored daft on the way

Why not use the Knight Bus from Harry Potter? Beds, whizzing speed and it can reach the places other buses can't. Plus there will be no aggro with Decepticon forces. Everyone is a winner.

Yeah, I guessed that. Shame really, as it would be ideal and stop her whining about the train prices. But I'm not picking her up from Brum station at 2am on a Friday morning!

Hah I don't mean like that. Indeed it is a good idea but do they have rubber mattress covers or something? It is essentially a public bed.

I probably sound like a bit of a princess but I'm not, I will (and have) slept pretty much everywhere!

so are hotels but your profile says you will do hotel meets

I would imagine seeing as only one person at a time is sleeping in them and no ones going to be shagging in them so there will be no dried up wet patches they will be a damn site cleaner than hotel beds or most beds in peoples houses you may meet

I travel long distances via megabus..tho I would hardly travel to far for a simple quick shag ffs

I have used megabus gold. For being a bus its great. There is someone to make you a cuppa , they show you which bed is yours . You get a pillow and blanket but the only downside is no curtain .

I pulled my blanket over my head and got some sleep.

The beds and toilet are very clean too.

For the price its great as long as you don't mind sleeping near strangers

as I said , there is an attendant on the bus to keep an eye on things while you're asleep

I've used megabus plus which involves changing from a bus to a train at East Midlands parkway but it wasn't a megatrain, just a train

Oh I'm not going for a shag! My oldest friend has relocated and it's my first visit to her, as luck has it she's driving home Friday so one way on the bus through the night and home in a car through the day! So I get to see some sights lol!

Queen of tease I will report back in what they are like! Normal megabus is great I find! Does the job and cheap as chips too! X

I have just googled and its an interesting option. I don't know if I would want someone in a hammock above me I don't know though. Can we have some feedback as to how it goes and if it got a bit smelly with people taking shoes off after 8 hours in such a small area.

and all you have to do is hold out your wand but the 240 cable and plug might get in the way. Giggle

We had this thought already on Ireland, do a wee tour of Ireland picking people up and then go a tour of swinging clubs in England. We had Lasangne and drinks and games all planned

Bottom bunk, single bed, no top bunks out tonight as it's not full!

And they haven't said anything is banned but it's super quiet!

Well I slept almost all the way! This is definatly a good way to travel! It's warm, quiet and comfortable!
