Ok, I'm beginning to doubt my ability to judge people.

Twice now I have chatted to somebody online for a couple of hours, thinking that we were getting on really well. Then within 24 hours they've disappeared from the site.

Am I missing some obvious signs of the fly by night swinging cowboy?

I had something similiar the other day. Within minutes of chatting to them they disappeared without trace. But the spooky thing was there were none of my messages in my Sent section. Is there an option to leave and remove everything, even the messages the other person sent?

Yes had this as well andit is annoying of you've taken time to message very many hours. I've noticed this seems to happen with only new profiles though, so perhaps be wary of that in future.

may i ask did you first meet these people on the forums or did they contact you or the other way around ?

Ok don't be wary . Just saying my experience of these situations are those that log on and are gone within a week at the most usually they spend only a day or two chatting then off.

its a symptom of a free to enter site. People can come and go as they please. A one off joining fee of £25 would put a stop to it.

Were these users site supporters/photo verified/meet verified?

You can filter out new people and people who haven't been verified. Both are tools in the anti-tool tool box.

In my experience its always been new people that become usuer no longer on site within a matter of days or even hrs,maybe they like the idea and enjoy the chat but the reality of actually getting off their arse,going out of their house and actually meeting can be all too much to deal with

I filter newbies now as at one point there were messages in my inbox that I had'nt even opened that had turned into user no longer on site

In the last 5 yrs I have never come across it happening with anyone that ive been chatting to regularly that has been around a while and has a few meets under their belt

I can't remember if he was a newbie or not, chatted in the rooms for a while, on cam so no need to check photo veri etc. he had photos on his profile though, and a reasonable amount of text.

I always thought the user no longer on site implied that they had been kicked off, but I guess maybe it's just people clearing out their history and leaving without a trace.

No, if youre blocked it just says blocked when you look at their profile page. If it says User No Longer on Site it means they've gonnnnne

No, if youre blocked it just says blocked when you look at their profile page. If it says User No Longer on Site it means they've gonnnnne

Always look ion it as it being better than talking longer meeting and there is no desire better to burn a little time than a lot and if they are genuine who knows they may be back.

Im quite dogged in my determination to out the crap and Ive had a fair bit of user no longer on site too. Think it just reflects that a ton of users are not quite all they proclaim to be. Id sooner lose them after a few text chats than further down the road when they may have my no etc or even traveling for a supposed meet.
