Brighton - even Hove!

Google your rights as tenants and go to see citizens advice. Lots of solicitors offer 1 hour free advice.

unless you have done something wrong, i see no reason why you cant post in the forums.

at least that way you get many views on the situation, however just messaging 1 person, you only get 1 perspective on things.

Its nothing we have done, in brief he has forged Andys signiture on what was supposed to be a photocopy of our tenancy agreement, entering property while we were out, harrasment, sexual harrasment against me, breaking the data protection act by telling people our business, renting house to us as furnished when it is unfurnished, telling me the rent price then bumping it up by 50 quid a month, he wont make repairs.

If this is all happening then seek proper advice from a solicitor, a housing officer or the CAB!!

Dont go round his house! It puts you in the wrong!

Forgery is a criminal offence, if it was done in order to increase your rent its "Gaining a pecuniary advantage by deception" another criminal offence, if the harassment is in order to make you pay that is another criminal offence. Entering your property (you are the legal occupier) is also a criminal offence.

Go to the Police, make a crime report and every time your landlord tries anything go to the Police again. Make sure they note your visits in the station diary that way you have a record if things get out of hand. But I doubt it will come to that. I suspect the Police will sort things out for you.

However I would suggest that you also start looking for a new place to live.
