Little big pets

I remember a scene in The Fifth Day where Arnold goes to a pet cloning facility to get his dog cloned, and one of the staff asks him if he'd like the dog smaller than before, and it got me thinking, if you could have any of the BIG animals on Earth as a pet, what one would it be?

Would you like a small dolphin to play with in the bath, or dog sized Lion to guard your house at night?

And if it tried to jump into bed with you during the night, you could sing

'If you wallaby my lover, you gotta get with my friends!'

If your mini polar bear was happy sometimes because of all the care and attention you gave it, but sometimes sad as it had small bear syndrome ....would it be a mini bi-polar bear

Big cats need to be full size I reckon but I'd hate to have to share my bed like my little cats do lol

Don't you mean "The 6th Day" .

There is a type of dog I would want to guard my house. Its the closet breed to a wolf as you can get. Its not a husky, but similar breed. Anybody remembers the tv series "Due South"? Well the dog on that I would like as you can train them to act how you want. So you can cuddle them and mess with them, etc and they won't hurt you, but when they sense trouble/violence, etc. They go nuts and/or only go as far to restrain them until the right people get to the problem at hand. Plus they look cute too, lol

I may have some litter training problems with the elephants and the giraffes too. These are fantasy creatures and in my fantasy they have really neat, clean poo that they know to deposit in the right place.

Snow Leopards are wonderful, they have handsome faces with those big crystally eyes, and I love the way you can see how they're adapted to their craggy environment with shorter, thicker limbs than most big cats, and those huge thick tails like draft excluders for added balance.

When they had that big face pic of them on the Sky TV vans, I couldn't stop looking at them when they were parked in the street.

"I thought of another one, an okapi. Something strangely beautiful about them. "

I don't think I'd ever heard of an Okapi till I read this thread, so googled one and they do look amazing, almost like mix of a horse and a giraffe, and most striking of all, the zebra stockings!
