Yes. Butter, sugar, lemon juice and zest, melt in a bowl over hot water until sugar dissolved. Add eggs, stir til thick.

Google for proportions.

On different things. You can't have a scone with clotted cream and lemon curd.

You can't beat strawberry jam and clotted cream on a fresh fruit scone. Went to Bolton abbey last week and had one their. Had to buy a jar of jam they used too! Hmmmm.
