"From the facts presented, I think it was pretty damn mean myself. I think discussing it on the forum will not make him feel any better, either, even if we don't know who he is, he'll now know what broke the meet. However, considering your posts in the forum on various topics, I'd be inclined to shake his hand after a near scrape of meeting you. If this was a single guy talking about meeting a girl with a stutter would it change anyone's response? ![]() This was last yr April when I first joined up he isn't on the site anymore

"O p turn it round a minute lets assume a problem you may have that embarasses you is a cause for a meet to be cancelled i doubt you will feel good about yourself. If the stutter is only reason then i think its pathetic and as others say his confidence maybe affected but he had lucky escape indeed. If this had been bloke doing it the abuse he would get is lot more than you just because you female does not excuse how you treated the chap." I agree though

"I thought this might be a serious thread about speech impediments and treatments, such as the Michael Palin Stammer Centre. My personal experience of people with speech impediments is that their minds are working so fast their mouth can't keep up. Some of the most interesting people I know have or have had a speech impediment. I don't give a toss what the OP does. " did you see that on teaching yorkshire, or whatever its called, with the asian lad with the bad stammer? very very good.

I would hate to think later in life, he would be rejected by females because of it ![]() Yes but spmetimes in life, whilst its not nice, it can be good for people to show their true colours early doors, that way you know who to avoid. All you need to do is love your son and give him confidence and knowledge to know how to deal with people like that. If he knows THEY are in the wrong hopefully he'll use that strength to ignore or stand up to them.
