I'm stuck at 21lb. It's been tough with work and a few little injuries stopping me from running.

Off to sports direct when I get paid for some winter running gear to kickstart.

I want to get to 2 stone by christmas.

Evie you have probably lost inches, muscle is heavier than fat too. Lots of girls in my group get disheartened that they do lots of exercise and it doesn't show on the scales but the important thing is that you feel fitter which is great

In 7 months, I've gone from 13.5 stones to just over 12... 77.5kg to be precise and non-imperialist. All I've done is play 5 aside football twice a week and remove all sweets, chocolates etc from diet. No restrictions on pizzas or samosas or anything so feel happy not having to cheat

Target is 75kg..hopefully that'll make my willy look bigger too so I'll be brave enough to go to chams at some point without feeling self conscious!

For years I yo yo dieted then my stepson announced he is getting married in Cyprus in June 2014 and something just clicked. Slimming World is right one for me. Am never hungry and up to now have only had two gains of 1 lb and 1/2 lb!! I have 1 stone to go but may carry on a bit more.

Well done to everyone no matter how much you have lost, its an achievement for us all

You need to apply the 80/20 rule

It's 80% food related, 20% exercise, unless you're really pound the workouts a lot and even then you're battering your body into submission.

It's dead easy to say, but really difficult to execute.

I yoyo with my weight all the time and although I'm 3-4 times a week doing seriously tough, varied, workouts the only thing that has any true effect is food control.

It's a bugger!

Good luck though xx

Ultimately it's a case of eating a little less or a little smartly and exercising more....

I managed to get my 3 stone award before Christmas but I have probably put some back on with the excesses of Christmas.

Back on it now and been to the gym twice over Christmas so hopefully not too much damage.

The key is to make healthy eating a way of life with exercise too.

I feel better now than I ever have and have so much more confidence.

I love green tea too!

I was worried at trying the ww simple start as no counting, no portion control.. But as I lost 7lb I guess I shouldn't have worried. I'm loving the filling and healthy and that my late night after club munchies can be thrown in..

I never like to see people using scales regularly to judge how well their diet/exercise combo is doing. People get obsessed with it - go on what you look like when you look in the mirror, that's what matters.

I'm bulking at the min. So... much... food.

Did anyone catch 'the men who made us fat' last year? The frightening stat amongst others was the failure rate for Weight Watchers. 86%. There business model is built on you failing!

The guy that professed the 80/20 rule in this thread is spot on. Exercise is for fitness and mobility, not weight loss. Half spinning class - just about the most arduous thing going - will barely burn a mars bar. It's the intake of food that's key.

To all on this epic journey I wish you the best of luck. When you do make it and keep it off its fucking the best feeling. You CAN.

The green tea is excellent advice, but just watch the caffeine innit! They get you bloody all ways. I dunno about anyone else, but sometimes it feels an ambush sometimes. Very tough to make the right choices.

It's a subject extremely close to our hearts. Good luck peeps

Also for those of you trying to lose weight PLEASE help yourself by finding out your maintenance calories/sedentary BMR. You burn a certain amount of calories a day even if you were to lie in bed all day. Find out this number and eat below it. Obviously exercise will allow you to eat more if you wish and you should still try and eat as healthily as possible. Google it, it's easy to work out.

I think i've been bulking my whole life. I really should try and trim down and bring in some definition. That's something i'm not used to. That and doing core workouts..hate it!! But i need to change that this year.

I only weigh myself once a week.. I do measurements.. I've lost a lot of weight previously but over the last ten years being married to a feeder I ended up huge..

My first husband was a fitness instructor and big on nutrition.. so I know how to lose weight.. for me the fat club is for motivation and the social side... I went down from 21st to 10st with ww before... Hence I'm back with them again. I'm also doing swimming 4 times a week. Cross training and weight training for fat burning.

I'm happy as I am... But I want to get fitter..

I took the plunge and went back to WW tonight! Not been for a few months. Due to a blip in my medical condition, hassle from an ex and feeling down in the dumps I'd put quite a bit on. My loss is back to just two stone exactly now so new start tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I lost 3lb at slimming world last night. My join last week with me and she lost 5.5lb in her first week, there were others who lost 7lb and 9.5lb in their first week. As a group we lost over six stone last night, that's amazing. I really cannot say enough good things about slimming world, for me I'm at week 18 and have lost 2st 11.5lb, my plan when I started was that be happy to lose one pound a week in just under a year (go on holiday Aug and didn't want to be the biggest one there) I worked out that even if I did that it would be around three stone which i would be happy with. Now I've nearly smashed that in just 18 weeks and still have seven months to go till August, I will confident in a swimsuit I'm sure of it!

I confess I heard this on the radio but it made me laugh...

I am on that diet that lets you have 15 sins a week - so today I am on sloth and gluttony.

It's great although I've now swapped the 2 treats per day for the 49 weekly points. Gives me more flexibility.. As I always go for food after a club night lol..

Had steak and home made chips with peas last night and fruit and yogurt and meringue for pudding. I really felt I was eating to much.. yet lost 7lb last week and had two not so good days too. X

I wish i did a proper diet plan. All i'm doing is trying to do exercises.

I'm having to eat regular - it's all about portion sizes for me i think. I just want to lose my stomach.
