Starter or pudding?

When you go out for a meal do you have a starter or a pudding? (aka dessert)

I always make room for a pudding. Massive gooey sundae nom nom nom.

I ask to see the dessert menu first before I decide on what to have.

If a dessert tickles my fancy, then I would opt for 2 starters.

Otherwise, I would go for a starter and a main.

Unless I am pushing the boat out, then it will be 4 courses including cheese before dessert.

That's difficult I like pud (as you can tell) but I like starters too.

If the starters include things like scallops or crab then I'd go for that over pud. If there are lots of starters I like then I'll have two and no main course.

At my favourite restaurant I like all three though.

Pudding but proper big portions of all.

Can't stand arty farty little portions on a huge plate with a swag of violet and raspberry coulis draped across the honey glazed baby carrot julienne a la mode.

Pudding but proper big portions of all.

My gut doesn't hang out, it extends slightly in a welcoming and becoming manner. I could make good use of a bucket of custard though, given a few naked people and a large plastic sheet.

Its very rare i have a starter or a pudding....i just prefer the main meal and if its a whopper...i find that hard to finish

Its got to be a starter...its the chance to try new things, so you can order that juicy steak without guilt at not trying the other main courses that sound nice but may not give you the same pleasure as the steak...well thats my take on it anyway. If there's room left, THEN its a pudding...lol.
