Maybe I should just cut out the middle man and shag a Lynx can or the Sky remote?

I'm on an efficiency drive today.

Any other efficiency tips?

condoms have many uses, and free from the clinic.

use to store leftover gravy and freeze.

collect used condoms, freeze and use as lube.

use as water bombs,

use as balloons.

the ideas just keep on cumming

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Stay in bed and cut out all that dressing, putting the heating on, using resources and then getting back into bed nonsense.

Don't tempt me. I'm really struggling to get going today. I've a huge list of things to do today and I cannot lay around and do nothing, even though it sounds incredibly appealing.

I don't have the heating on because I don't trust it not to leak! The last thing I need is to have a water leak just before I move so I am making do with extra clothes. I have an oil fired radiator for if it gets very cold but so far I've only used it to warm the lounge up enough to paint (it was below 10ºC in there) and to help dry some towels on an airer.

Given the list of things I have to do today I should be able to stay warm very effectively.

The cats aren't pleased with me though. They aren't keen on chilly weather.

Don't waste money carpeting your whole house, just cut two small pieces of carpet and attach them to your feet to give you that carpeted home feel

If you put some cloth under the squares you can clean the floor as you walk around.

I have a wall covered with ivy that needs cutting back , I'm waiting for another windy day so the cuttings are blown across the open gardens and eventually rest in one of the neighbours chainlink fences , saving me both time and energy in clearing up ...not to mention valueable wheelie bin space ...hope this can be of use to others
