"why do so many people post in the forums and leave the site?"

Maybe some are so ashamed of what they post they are compelled to run and hide off site.

I can understand it sometimes, people develop friendships that sometimes stay via the site for no real reason other than they just stick to messaging through here, so to announce it allows anyone that may want to stay in touch the chance to arrange to do so.

No doubt, one day I may leave too due to life and priority changes, and loss of interest etc... That's normal I believe.

I have to admit to marvelling at that too, especially when they give a countdown: oh well!

Just a response to the thread, that's all!

However, you can bet on it that, one day, I will move on due to changes in my life/interests/circumstances etc...

Of course people will move on as circumstances and life changes

It changes pretty damn quick for some of them in here though

Perhaps they find leaving the site and all the fun and games associated with it is more difficult than they have first anticipated.

Or, they could be attention seekers who needed to feel wanted, hence they put up threads about them leaving to see how many peeps would respond etc...
