You have to persevere with them....I'm not sure why the CSA still exists as there are so many flaws in the system but without knowing the facts can't be much help...

It does work for some.

Unfortunately some guys just dont want to live up to their responsibilities.

This makes their job almost impossible on some occasions.

got told ex back at work n should be paying 71 a week for two children by letter yesterday then phone call just now saying hes actually earning less than a £5a week so dont have to pay a penny

My partner received a bill for £29k about a year ago, claiming for his two daughters who are now 31 and 29 years old!! Obviously a mistake in their system and all cleared up now, but my god what a shock - no wonder men are at the end of their tether with the CSA

CSA can check how much the absent earns, they trace trough the NI number find out where they work and find out how much they earn!

Well it's your responsibility being a father regardless of the issues that may occur with the mother...the same for single fathers the mother has a duty to contribute to the up bringing of the child..

I wanted my daughter to live with me desperatly. I wanted to support her. I now have contact as she lives with me permanently as she is now grown up. The csa destroyed my life and helped a vindictive ex wife to unfairly punish both me and my daughter. The csa lie and are divisive. I hate them and every inhumane employee who works for them. Thankfully i have a fabulous relationship with my daughter depite them. They helped steel15 years of what could have been a decent relationship between us. If uou have not guessed i hate and always will hate them. Rob

got a letter after that saying he should pay 71 a week including arrears to just have a call saying actually you entitled to nothing as he working and not earning more than a £5 a week.....i mean who works and doesnt get paid

My experience of them - they're a bunch of fuk wits who

- dont have any clue about the back ground to any case

- go for a court order the first chance they get

- ignore any contact from the opposite party snd hide behind their phones

- deliberatly piss you then accuse you of being aggressive

i think every absent parent should pay towards their child no matter if its the dad or mum ....its not money for me as i see it but to help towards school trips annd anything they need ....not asking him to support my house n help pay my bills....i do that willing cus its mine responsibilty ....but we made our children so it should be both of us supporting them

True six numbers on the lottery can't buy back those ruined and lost years. I salute you for hanging in there though. It's a real shame, (a crime against humanity in fact) that some dads are faced with no other choice than to give up their fight to be a dad to the children they love so much

I agree that a father should provide for his children but that should go on the children and not the mother!

I know of several blokes who this ha happened to. Darling ex has been greedy. Asking for more all the time. Has gone to CSA and ended up with less than she was getting of dad independently

Absentee father here.. yes csa works.. too damned well.. been paying 300/month for over 10 years now and saw my daughter 2 times due to my ex's attitude and grief. Was on anti depressants for 5 years too down to it.

No I dont mind paying to support my kid. Even if I dont get to see her. Some equality huh?

Its done now tho.. 18 and a mommy herself so csa not chasing me any more

I'm sure there is something that if you have your child over certain amount of days it's reduced. It's worth seeking some advice as it's unfair that you pay if you are having your son half a week...

There are many fathers and mothers that are treated unfairly...I was pregnant and he did a runner lost the baby but I was prepared to do it on my own then beg for any payments from someone...keep your chin up and remember kids turn into adults and have their own mind

I didn't mean you directly when I mentioned the sisterhood. They're about all the time though. And whilst it's very very sad for children it's good that the truth is coming out on a thread in these forums. Discussing my personal circumstances has got me on the naughty step though.

There are unfortunately some, not you, when faced with the truth spit the dummy out and hit the report button. And I appreciate this is hijacking the OP soz. I hope circumstances are sorted and the children can have a meaningful relationship with both their parents.

but her she never worked in all the year iv none her which is around 18 yrs, and she got all the mod cons i pad ,new computer new 42in tv ,new phone ,paid nearly a grand to have a new fence put round her back garden ,not bad for someone on benefits ,now she paying 750pound for privet phyiso on her back,shes making out she as a bad back now , as i say not bad for benefit money ,

im just earning enough to get by ,and pay bills , cant remember the last time i went out and had a drink got be over a year

and they still want money of me

I had one child, the ex the other. When csa were assessing us the ex's payments to me was very low. The lady at the csa told me, ""I shouldn't say this but you should appeal", I did and the ex's payments were doubled. The bitch was livid lol. So my experience with csa; as a man, was a good one.

On the other hand out whore is going through the mill trying to get payments from ex. CSA have lied, misinformed and ignored. She wrote to her MP, they didn't like that.

Just to add abit of balance....I applied to the csa 2 years ago as I tried to work out an arrangement with my child's father, financially and contact wise, but he didnt want to take responsibility for his child point blank refused so I had no choice but to go to the CSA and 2 years on ive still not recieved a penny. They appear useless when it comes to getting payment out of people who refuse to pay like my ex. It takes weeks just to do a check with hmrc to see whether they are working or not, then they faff about checking if they are on benefits so you wait another few months and when you ring up they have no explanation as to what they have actually been doing all this time.

After 2 yrs I dont hold out much hope of them getting any money out of him. People who have kids and dont take responsibility for their actions make me sick.

There are shitbags on both sides and thr ones who ultimately get hurt is the children, its pathetic that grown adults get so bitter and twisted that they loose sight of what is important and tolerate each other and keep some semblence of calm and niceness for the sake of the kids.

You assume somebody else can get you a ban...they can't, it is what YOU write on a post that gets you a ban.

If someone disagrees with what you say, they are doing just that, disagreeing, if you can't accept people do that on a forum then maybe the forum isn't the place for you.

Lastly, constant talk about a previous ban will end up with another ban, so the best thing to do if you dispute a ban is do what the rules ask and send your feedback to Admin themselves and ask them to look into it.

i would always suggest mediation and then court before involving the csa.

unfortunately my brother is being dry humped because he is too spineless to take his nasty caniving ex to court to get proper visitation in writing for his kids.

he sees them a lot (he works 4 on 4 off and has them on his days off) but hands over £250 a month and pays extras, plus obviously spoils them rotten when they are with him.

he says it aint worth the fuss, but doesnt seem to realise that she will take them away whenever the feeling takes her (and has done in the past)

SOME women are pure evil where children are concerned, as much as SOME absent fathers are complete tossers!

Csa doesn't care that both parents who by their justification of it are responsible for feeding and Financially providing for have Access to said child who by no fault of their own has been the centre of a battle for cash.

Not fair to blame the woman all the time but in reality and il probably get slammed for this women hold all the cards when it comes to children and although law dictates fathers have rights at a staggering £185 an hour it is very difficult for us guys to get the necessary help to see our child or children when the woman doesn't come to an agreement on access rights

It took me months of constant phone calls to get any money and then they hold on to it before passing it on. The csa was the last straw but after two years of him not contributing a penny to keep his children, I'd had enough! He was eating out, going away and to concerts but wouldn't support his children.

I've never stopped him seeing them, in fact I've tried to keep their relationship going but he can't be bothered! But at the end of the day he should support the children WE brought into this world! Yes I'm bitter when my children hurt because he doesn't care.

Sorry back on topic, persevere and you will eventually get there with the csa!

The csa destroyed my life and helped a vindictive ex wife to unfairly punish both me and my daughter. The csa lie and are divisive. I hate them and every inhumane employee who works for them. Thankfully i have a fabulous relationship with my daughter depite them. They helped steel15 years of what could have been a decent relationship between us. If uou have not guessed i hate and always will hate them. Rob

True six numbers on the lottery can't buy back those ruined and lost years. I salute you for hanging in there though. It's a real shame, (a crime against humanity in fact) that some dads are faced with no other choice than to give up their fight to be a dad to the children they love so much "

The csa is an arse.. when I was married they took my wages into account and decided that my exs 3 kids..needed more to live on a week than my 5 at home..

So they started deducting from my wages for 3 kids that were not mine.. Even though one had actually moved in with us.

Took 4 years to sort out.. not a penny ever paid back to me.

I'm not a parent but I have always been on the road where I would never use the kids as bargaining tool no matter what I thought of the kids dads. It's wrong however I would also like to think that if the relationship ended that we would be adult enough to discuss maintenance without involving the CSA...

It's not exactly difficult to work out nowadays! I paid it for 10 years, then when daughter came to live with us, I claimed it off her Mum. No hitches either way.

My ex was a silly bitch though. We had an informal arrangement that worked fine but she decided she wasn't getting enough money, so went to the CSA. £40/month less later, she regretted that decision.

unfortunately my brother is being dry humped because he is too spineless to take his nasty caniving ex to court to get proper visitation in writing for his kids.

he sees them a lot (he works 4 on 4 off and has them on his days off) but hands over £250 a month and pays extras, plus obviously spoils them rotten when they are with him.

he says it aint worth the fuss, but doesnt seem to realise that she will take them away whenever the feeling takes her (and has done in the past)

My situation was virtually identical and I was paying her money (£300pm) and still buying clothes, shoes, days out and having them at mine at least 4 nights a week.

Last week I was granted full custody but she will only pay £185pm and refuses to pay anything else. To be honest I'm not surprised or bothered, I know they'll be safe and well looked after (as they were with their mother). I could have pushed for more but is it worth dragging out any misery and upset when in the long run its the kids that will suffer?

I would clean toilets before I did their job . This country has fallen apart because of fatherless families and they only inflame situations .

I paid £ 25000 25 years ago so ex wife kept home and my 2 children had a house . Clean break signed on court order £100 month maintenance

5 years later remarry buy house and bring my new wife's 7 yr old up

Csa change law and court order

Now paying £500 a month

Had home visit recorded them and they went to leave

No interest in my lack of access rights

Purely we have you and you pay for the fathers we cannot find

Luckily I was smarter , set up a business , there is more than one way to skin a cat

My accounts showed I was due a 70 per cent reduction , lived with that

Justice done

My son turned up to live with us 2 years later , sadly my daughter it was 10 years but we are all so close and happy now the past is irrelevant

Hang on guys your kids will come if you have paid your way and are worthy

its sad ....had a talk with my 12 yr old about school skirt she wants ....told her at mo the £26 it costs i havent got ...but will save up my spare money to get her one ....found a note in bedroom saying she now realises its me that pays for everything and that she loves me more ....heart breaking to read ....esp when its from a 12 yr old

The CSA website says not to equate access (or lack of) with financial reward, but thats only words.

In my experience the CSA have been fine. They have been ruthlessly efficient and ive not been bullied by them but the system itself is crap.

Ive always paid full amount but ive still been cast as the villain when the ex has used the kids to ask me for contributions on top of CSA for school clothes, trips, parties im not invited to etc and ive dared to say no. Maybe her fella has said no too?

I love my children dearly and yet the amicable agreement about seeing the kids that we made 3 years ago has been eroded by the ex exploiting the kids emotionally, to the point where I dont see them at all now.

The icing on the cake was when the ex was dictating how i entertained my kids in my time with them.....or else. And dont get me started on ultimatums involving my ex disapproving of my partner (note: I wasnt the guilty party if you get my drift).

I dont have a problem with the CSA, i pay my due and support what they do. Its the way the kids have been emotionally manipulated by the ex and the fact that she has dragged them into the discussions over money that has cost me the most pain.

Once the CSA enter the arena, fair play and amicable relationships are replaced with the pursuit of cash.

The CSA are, in my humble opinion, a valuble tool for parasitic women to just try to fleece even more money out of the ex when the lazy bitches, who wanted a divorce in the first place, should get off their fat asses and earn their own money in life instead of leeching off a man they no longer want to be with. Men should support their own children, not have them used to enhance the ex and her new partners lifestyle.
