"Who loves it........ Ok so slap me thighs but love trad jazz...... yerrrr i admit it. lmao and now im listening to me man.... Mike BUBLE ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well Mr. Buble aint trad - Acker Bilk is and to be honest as great as Buble is , he aint jazz. I think there is a whole area of lovely jazz-tinged music - Buble, Melody Gardot, Madeleine Peyroux, Norah Jones etc. But it is not jazz I hope that doesn't sound really snooty and dismissive ![]()

"aaaah I thought you were linking trad and Buble but you were not of course. I am more of into 1950's / 60s / 70s Miles David, John Coltrane, etc " I'm with you on that... and relevant others who played with Miles. Love a bit of Jaco Pastorious, Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Yellowjackets... The list goes on and on, my favourite genre in general, but can't say I know all the classes of jazz, just know what I like! ![]()

I would add Marcus Miller - saw him in manchester at a sweaty nightclub a few years ago, incredible performance - switching between the bass and sax

"Excellent taste. Think now it's got a bit crappy with more charty stuff which is annoying. ![]()

" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Samantha was the mythical glamorous assistant on Sorry I Haven't A Clue on radio 4 that Humph would introduce each week with a line like: " .as ever, Samantha spent several hours down in the gramophone archive, giving the teams' discs a trial spin on the library record deck. The nice old archivists have recently been a bit worried about their early vinyl collection getting scratched, so Samantha ordered them a new mat for the turntable. She said that they were very excited at the thought of getting felt under their old seven inchers..."
