He could screw my chest

Might look at him a bit oddly if he screws drawers though unless they're the crotchless ones of course and on a woman

I got a bookcase from Ikea and it took 2 days to put together. Check all the parts are there. I forgot to.

How to assemble flat pack stuff in my house:

Shona buys

Shona tells hubby "ohh I got a new bookcase today"

Hubby groans . . . . . a lot

Delivery man drags said flat pack things up all my stairs - and leaves them at the door

Hubby groans again

Hubby empties wardrobe looking for screwdriver that Shona used to wollop nails into wall yesterday and threw in kitchen drawer in disgust

Hubby empties tool boxes on bed to find said screwdriver

4 hours later Shona loses temper and screams "what the hell are you looking for?" then hands hubby said screwdriver from said kitchen drawer

Hubby groans loudly

Kids risk coming out of hiding for a drink and some food to see them thru

Hubby opens flat pack box number one

Hubby discovers its really flat pack box number 3 and boxes 1 & 2 are missing

Hubby swears

Delivery man returns with proper boxes

Hubby doesnt groan says "lets leave it til tommorow hun"

Shona says "come on the hard work is done" no one believes her not even herself

Hubby throws away distructions - its not like they are needed is it??

After another 4 hours with Shona looking over hubbys shoulder saying are you sure that goes there Shona gets told go look at shoes in Edinburgh

Shona returns with 3 new pairs of shoes and 5 handbags thing still not finished cos football started

Hubby groans very loudly

Very late that night flat pack bookcase looks like a bookcase but little plastic bags with screws are lying all over the floor cos "they are crap I used my own"

8 years later bookcase is still standing cos he wont let me get a new one dont know why??

Shona

"Is it built yet? "

Oh yes, took 3 hours with a minor break half way though for fuelling but both are now built and luckily they are both as we expected and not anything random

Me likey but not sure I want to be as grown-up as my living room now looks!

"LOL Shona "

Ohh dont get me started on the shelf I bought for over a radiator and got sick fed up of hubby not putting up that I threw it out the kitchen window just missing downstairs car 6 years after I bought it

Now I just buy all furnishings ready built cos it saves time and the threat of divorce

Titter ye not flat packing is a serious task! It involves a copious amounts of screwing, a bit of banging and you end up with a right sweat on and a bad back the next day!

I don't think it will be the furniture assembly giving him a bad back tomorrow
