There have been many spats on here and even off here about people being judgemental and I was wondering what is the difference between someone who is sensible and has morals compared with someone who is judgemental? Where is the line crossed?

Brighton - even Hove!

The line will vary depending on who you ask.

"The line will vary depending on who you ask. "

That's what the thread is for. Everyone to give their opinion on it. What's your view on it?

Having your own morals, beliefs and preferences is one thing.

Not respecting others and trying to criticise them for their opinions is when you become judgemental.

But in reality we all are - we wouldn't be human if we weren't!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

We all judge. Sometimes we have our judgements known, sometimes we keep them to ourselves. Some judgements are instant and temporary. Some come after seeing a pattern of behaviour and become impossible to shift.

My line is not fixed - it depends on the situation.

I don’t regard being judgmental as a necessarily a bad thing,,,

I make judgements on what I see and hear all the time, otherwise how would I ever change my mind….!.

Imo. Having preferences to who/what you do means you have some sort of moralistic attitude. But when you start trying to push those views onto someone who doesn't have the same outlook, then that becomes judgemental.

Now that's an answer . Whether I agree with it is another matter.
