my dog more walks me than me walking him, he's great off a lead, will walk by your side and come back straight away when called but soon as you out a lead on him he turns psycho

Try a canny collar. A vet once told me years ago when I had a collie who pulled, control the nose and you control the dog. I now have a 40+ kilo rottie and can control him easily with a canny collar. It's easy to use, kind to the dog and no being taken off your feet when he wants to say hello to people! And he walks to heel no problem.

I love dog walking, as long as it's a proper dog and not some yappy little thing.

I am allergic to dogs though so I can't have one

I need to find someone with dog I can borrow for walks.
