fake watches

Just having a discussion with a person over a fake Tag watch which she is selling for £150. Although I've looked this up online it appears to be abit of a grey area. She is under the impression that as there are plenty of replica sites online then it isnt illegal to sell it on.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Don't know about the legality but I bought mine for £30 I have two Rolex also cost £30 each so I have 3 fake high end watches that cost £90 so a bit over priced don't you think

Ask trading standards.

Selling of fake designer goods is

"theft of copyright"

Top names will not hesitate to prosecute those caught selling their branded fake goods.

You can get "Genuine fake" tag watches in Tunisia for around £25.

I have tried to look online..it seems its legal to own them and as long as you say they are 'replica' its ok to sale on ebay. Just seems wrong and pointless buying fakes in my view. I paid £1000 for my Tag and costs me £60 for each battery change. Am I the mug, haha answers on a postcard.

Customs were seizing fake designer goods at the airport during the summer.

It would seem that buying fake watches was legal in Turkey,bringing them home with you was not.

Your not a mug you can proudly wear yours and know its real.

as far as im aware, its illegal to sell a fake over here even if you declare it as such. Not so in other places though. Personally i dont see the point in getting a fake anyway.

A friend brought me back a fake Brietling watch from Thailand 6 years ago, he paid £20 for it and it looked pretty good and is still running (I wear it every day). I wouldn't pay any more than £30 for a fake as it could only last a couple of weeks, I don't trust the waterproofing either
