Drinking coffee through a straw

Well another trip to the hospital today to have some more teeth removed. If it's like last time, the left hand side of my face will be so numb, I can't even feel a cup next to my lips.

Any other tips on how to get coffee from my cups to my lips?

Despite my laughter at water pistol images a straw or childs drinking cup with a spout are the best ideas I think. I hope it goes well and you can safely stow your water pistol back in its holster soon.

Borrow a kids 'super soaker'. You'll drink the whole thing in 5 secs flat.

Assuming your ok with having caffiene still, make coffee jellies, strong expresso set with gelatine sheets. If you can get the proportions right for a very lose wobbly jelly they should just disolve in the mouth.
