First time I've seen this question. I have no preference but if uncut a proper wash is in order before I go near it or it comes near me. Some men don't remember or bother so they get dragged by the ear to the bathroom and scrubbed with a toothbrush

I think the post was about personal preferences rather than clearly needed medical circumcisions, that was clearly a necessity in your case

I'm uncut with no issues with retracting and no issues with the regular use of soap! I can't see any particular benefit to having a cut to be honest
