I shall be listening to the commentary...the Aussie vs England fixture looks a bit tasty.

Wasn't aware how many/few countries play Rugby League...I wonder how many of those countries represented at this World Cup have domestic leagues....ie Italy Cook Islands USA etc.?

the problem is that a lot of the smaller countries are picking aussies with family decent who aren't good enough to play for australia....

Disappointing start for England.....taking a 10-0 lead and going down 28-10...

Where are all the Rugby League enthusiasts?

it ended up 28-20... lol

I don't think super league really prepares them for the intensity of international football, like the NRL and State of Origin does...... it always feels like its either the brits do well for 30 minutes each half and fall away in the last 10, or go really well for the first 60, and fall apart in the last 20......

Sorry...my mistake...I think I switched over to the football at 28-10 and must have misheard the final score on the later news.

Perhaps England should be pushing for a one hour match? .

I think ill skip the rugby lite farce of a world cup if im honest.

The precession to hand the Aussies the title is pretty boring.

I didn't see the match, as I was getting some teeth pulled

I did tape it, but heard the result on the bus back

Getting teeth pulled was probably a better option....

I prefer rugby tennis with a bit if rough and tumble to touch rugby for men to be fair.

Tried watching 2 games yesterday and it really didn't hold my interest.

The Rugby League World Cup has to be one of the best kept secrets in sport.

Without this thread, I'd not have known it was on.

Scotland are taking part too.

I didn't even know it was played so far north.

Apparently we play American Football up here too but I don't imagine it's to international standard (just like our soccer).

Yes I remember the Aberdeen Granites when they played the Brighton B52s back in the 80s

Don't have sky anymore - I saw the England Oz game on Saturday, oz had no warm up games & it looked like they used the first 30mins as their warm up because after that, they were pretty damn good - unfortunately!

Pretty sure if you type something like "free sports streaming" into Google, you'll find some way to watch it. I can't tell you what (if I do it at all) I use.

Big rugby league fan but I'm disgusted that world cup in being held in England and Wales and the bbc don't cover every game. Football or rugby union world cup will be shown in full tho. Can't wait for final on 30 nov. Had my ticket since last Christmas.
