Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Have we arrived at the past future now?

We have tablets and touch screens. The new Samsung Gear will have people talking to their wrists and reading messages on their watch. Google Glass is the ultimate spy gear.

We're not living on Moonbase Alpha or jetting around in flying cars but a lot of things from my past future seem to be here now.

We are never in the future, nor the past. Technology gets better and then people get dimmer.

Medical research and human rights provides more people with greater longevity, yet beneath the veneer lies the same mentality spoken of in history books if you were to research the Dark Ages.

I wonder how long before these ideals clash again.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I think Star Trek. In the 60s shoe they had automatic doors, personal communicators (mobile phones? ) and computer tablets which were touch sensitive (remember Kirk always seemed to be offered one to sign by some random blonde?).

Exactly. Someone imagined and designed the look and the developments have now caught up to make them real.

Who is envisaging the design for the future now?

Touching a hologram won't be possible silly. Unless you project the hologram onto a mannequin of some sort. Hologram projections are already being developed and tested.

When nothing can be rebooted I wonder what people will do?
