real 80's child here, loved all that sort of stuff.

Berlin too, and not just the theme to top gun, their real music is a lot better.

80's music is so much better than the terrible stuff kids listen to now. There was so much variety in the top 40. Now it's hard to work out where one song ends and the next begins because they all sound so similar.

"Shaddap You Face" by Joe Dolce was shit though.

agree with yo to a point .the 80s music was really good up to around 85/6 but lots of music was crap thereafter due in so small part to those tuneless idiots of stock aitken and waterman and the awful acts and samey tunes they produced.todays music if u can call it that is truly appalling

Although it did keep "Vienna" off the number one spot!

Love that track, got about 4 versions of it. Also ultravox and midge ure, from early punk days to new romantic phase.

I am Still trying to write that one track that lives up to the 80's synth sound.
