Just finished 'the testament of Mary' by Colm Toibin - shortlisted for this year's Man Booker

Before that it was 'the book of human skin' by Michelle lovack

Funny this thread came up, I just picked up esquire and it comes with High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, I first read this book when I split with my first wife it's a great story about the male mind during a break up

Wodehouse is a genius. His use of language, such as describing Spode as not just a common, garden sized gorilla, but more a bulk economy buy sized gorilla is sublime.

Fatherland is Robert Harris.

I've now moved on to Winds of Dune, one of the sequels to Dune, written by the son of the original author

It must have been one helluva introduction to the language

I'm on a real existential kick at the moment. I've just re-read "L'etranger" for the firs time since my teens. I had forgotten how brutal it is.
