zoe I know what you mean, I don't like hurting people's feelings...usually I will just send back a message "thanks for the message but I am not interested...happy swinging" 9 times out of 10 they seem happy enough with that.

i find it hard to say no too and to be hoest it has led to big disappointments and people verging on stalking me lol

am adapting a harder outer shell now and opting for the honest approach with a few little lies thrown in to sugar coat it if needed

If we get messages from people we don't fancy we simply don't reply. If they have issues with that then that's their problem not ours.

yes it can be difficult turning people down without seemingly coming across as nasty or insensitive. On the other hand you also dont want to lead ppl on in thinking that you are interested when your blatantly not.

Zoe - just be honest hun.

People need to know where they stand - and if they dont like it tough,.

They will soon get over it and move onto the next person.

Lok after YOU hunny xxx

I agree that honesty is the best policy, most guys I reply to with a "no thank you" normally mail back thanking me for having the decency to at least reply to their message.

Many guys try to pressure you into meeting... they only wanna see you, have coffee with you, you're the best thing since sliced bread... yet, when chatting to other fems in the area you find out they are saying the same to them! so don't feel bad don't take it or make it too personal, some guys will say anything to get a shag hahah! (not all guys... no offence meant etc. )

Just a thought but your saying here you don't like to say no and lots of men will be reading it won't they. So aren't you going to get even more messages asking to meet and have even more problems saying no?

I meant only as in exclusivity... see only you, meet only you... sorry didn't make myself clear. And yes they do mainly wanna get in your knickers! (only yours--yea right)

It depends if being economical with the truth and a little white lie is going to hurt or not.

I am not very good with fibbing, and have been known to be brutally honest.

People know where they stand with me, and when they ask me for advice/opinion, they know I'll give it to them straight without beating around the bush.

So IMHO, it is better to be honest, as I don't have to remember the little white lies I have told!
