Ladies, do u get itchy?

At that time of the month???

As I'm getting older each time I get my period my minge itches, not dissimilar to thrush but only lasts 2 days! It's very frustrating and I don't want to use creams as I don't need them, anyone got a suggestion as to what I can use to help?

Doc has no clue so I've come to the font of all minge related issues

Sometimes and I'm afraid I just have to find a private place to have a bloody good scrat at it! I try to only wear cotton nix round my period but still happens occasionally so afraid I can't help much

No I've never suffered with those symptoms sorry

You could maybe try femfresh talc to sooth it or a hydracortizone cream x

I try not to put much near the delicate areas only wash with water as the nurse at the clinic told me soap of any sort there is really bad! They always give that advise when I go for my regular checks! Scary at first mind as I used to give it a good scrub with soap!

And cotton knickers all the time unless I'm meeting and wear something sexy

With minge related issues ...............well...........

Go in the bathroom, get undressed

Turn on the shower.............

Get into shower cubicle/bath

Now hold shower head approximately 50mm from minge ....................

With your right hand , grab soap and rub said minge ...............keeping the shower head controlled and continually pointed at minge

Work soap up into a lather on minge then push soap bar as far up minge as possible .........letting go while it slides right up inside minge

Keep rubbing minge and wash off lather with shower head and free hand

Now then ............turn off shower

Now crouch down and using a pelvic thrust ..................force soap bar from minge

Now , may your itchy minge be itch free for another 28 days .............

Gawd Sidneys....nooooooo you are right ..... NEVER use any product on the old fanwah ....

The itching may be due to an allergy in towels or tampons....

Health stores sell those washable ones or collecting cups .... rather you than me but it might be worth a go ...

I have heard that a bit of natural yoghurt ( don't go all strawberry n banana now ) spread on the vulva does you the world of comfort... give it a go.

I used to. I had to use towels so put it down to that. I itch now and then with different lubes. I never use soap on my kitty either and stopped relaxing in a Radox bath too as that can cause the same acid imbalance as unprotected sex can. What us women go through eh

I've got a mooncup now granny as feminine hygiene products defo make it worse! Cup is great unless ur out shopping for a day, but then u just need to carry a bottle of water to rinse it, gross but true! They work great, a friend suggested it ages ago and I've never looked back!

Always pads are really an irritant as are the Always panty pads.. also tampons are bleached so can have the tendency to cause an itch on the delicate vulval skin.

Dont have hot baths or use soap and bubble baths all dry up the skin. Aqueous creams from chemist for that area.

I used to get that from most towels/tampons. Got a mooncup.. awesome!!

Was really heavy but never had a problem with it.

Had a coil now for 5 years so no periods :D Eek reminds me.. needs replacing nexty month lol

NEVER use soap on your lettuce!....A few months back, whilst Tom (time of month) was visiting, my lettuce felt a little sore, I had used Tesco's own branded tampax, I have gone back to my usual brand and nothing since. (thankfully)....So maybe as some others have suggested, it could be the sanitary product you are using.

Or, your kecks are to small ......maybe?

I recommend washing with aqueous cream. You can buy it in boots or any pharmacy it comes in a biggish tub usually with a pump dispenser. Pump a little out, run hands under the tap and then rub into a lather and wash your lady bits. That should be good all round care throughout the month to keep your vaginal pH happy.

In addition, at times of itchy fangitaness, if you buy some of the Rephresh tubes they are perfect for treating vaginal irritation or BV.
