I think it's sad when you see countries that show the 'previous residence of a now gone royal family'! Our Royal family are the best known in the world! They bring in way more than they cost.. and the Queen has worked harder in her life than any other person I can think of, and is still going!! Given that most tourists visit royal sites when they are unoccupied would suggest they would come anyway. As for the queen working hard........my aunty has just finished work at 76 she cleaned a pub, gave birth to 5 children all of whom are upstanding citizens.........so Iknow someone who actually worked and I mean worked harder than the queen! | |||

"No its a good point. I took the schilling as I had no other form of work. Most of my cohort did the same. The Royal Family are so far from day to day military life you would not imagine. Its a job which gave me a profession! On the William front I have known Army pilots that have done 25 years.............not three on Anglesey! | |||

I think it's sad when you see countries that show the 'previous residence of a now gone royal family'! Our Royal family are the best known in the world! They bring in way more than they cost.. and the Queen has worked harder in her life than any other person I can think of, and is still going!! Be proud as Brits of what we have.. if not.. bugger off Please show me the figures that confirm the Royal Household actually contributes to the exchequer more than they cost?

Given that most tourists visit royal sites when they are unoccupied would suggest they would come anyway. As for the queen working hard........my aunty has just finished work at 76 she cleaned a pub, gave birth to 5 children all of whom are upstanding citizens.........so Iknow someone who actually worked and I mean worked harder than the queen!"and the Queen has worked harder in her life than any other person I can think of, and is still going!!
