making an effort

I know we are in a recession, however, making an effort for a meet doesn't hurt. not asking for lingerie, but your best/fancy knickers n bra, or boxers. making to effort to trim/shave/tidy up.. making sure your clean all over. in all the wee corners. what do you think? Is it too much to ask?

Is it too much to turn up clean, well presented and having taken care of your own personal hygiene?

I guess for some it's a huuuge ask, but it's not unreasonable, recession or not!

That's standard even if not meeting.

If someone hasn't got that standard then don't meet them.

I don't buy the recession excuse.

During the war or in other austere times those without were the proudest of all and put on the best shows.
