At last an autobiography by someone who's actually lived his life unlike the manu "z" listers who publish theirs while they're nothing but babies.

I agree. It annoys me when someone my age has an autobiography. Usually because it involves what I already know. Due to the fact they have been enjoying media attention and then thrown the rattle out the pram when it goes sour.

"my story"

This will be an interesting for ManU fans and football lovers alike.

Why can't people simply join in with their opinion on a thread rather than chipping in with silly facetious comments.

Even I, who dislikes football with a vengeance, recognises the nickname Fergie coupled with the rather obvious clue of Man U, and instantly knows what this thread is referring to.

As I suspect the posters in this thread who are being deliberately obtuse do

Bully? Yes. Deluded? No I don't think so or a rant to that matter but it shows him to be a man with little respect for others and a spiteful nature but that's a big part of his success.

I'm buying this defo.

I've only got one other biography book.

The other one is "tycoon" by peter jones.

The only biographies I read, are those who:

1) chose their life

2) enjoy their life

3) had MASSIVE genuine success in their own right.

I'm not a utd fan..but Alex Ferguson is the real deal.

Yes but how many seasons has wenger had the money to spend and hasn't??

I think wenger did well with arsenal when at the time the likes of Chelsea were spending silly amounts and only had a few good seasons.

He looks to have pulled it back together after a few off seasons and making arsenal a force again.

But has he really had money to spend? Thats pure media speculation that says he has had.

I don't believe that has had the money, considering all that he's been doing for the last few seasons is sell his best players. This all started with the boardroom reshuffle several years ago & Wenger has just been loyal to his imployers. That's just my opinion - How are you anyway Rusty? Long time no here.

Its all about trophies and you are deluded if you think otherwise. Old Trafford is in the top 5 grounds in the EUFA list and apart from the upper level of the directors stand its a modern football stadium which hosts major sporting events!

As a season ticket holder and a Mancunian born and bred I see Ferguson as a strong man manager who speaks his mind whilst at the same time knows a thing or two about football. His record is second to none and he boasts a working class ethic in all he does. From my side of Manchester he epitomises what United are all about and he may have some floors in his character but who does not?

Turning to the "debt" its true the yanks are not good for United and I would love to see the club being shared by the fans with elected board members similar to Barcelona. However in terms of a business model United are valued at over £1b if the recent part floatation is used as a full valuation so the "debt" has little impact on the value but I agree the £20m interest paid last year would be better spent on the club and perhaps developing the youth scouting scheme to find another Giggs, Beckham and Scholes et al!

To say trophies are unimportant is naïve to say the least!
