mr and I just received a msg from a male fabber who was curious about a meet with us, I naturally had a look at his profile to see what he was about... He wrote that he was a married man and his wife didn't no of the account. This isn't my idea of heaven so politely said no thanks and wished him happy swinging, within seconds he had blocked us. i think this is quite rude for nothing as I was polite, it's not like I was going to track down his wife ffs!!

A lot do this so they don't contact you again. I don't see it as a problem. You said no so there was little need for a reply from him .

He had his reasons move on.

Blocking is a site tool which not only stops you being able to see each other's profiles and updates but also removes you from the results of any searches.

Perhaps he was just ensuring that he won't be tempted/sidetracked/distracted by your profile and mail you again mistakenly.

I do this if someone i contact is not interested or if i am contacted in same way as it reduces chance of another message being sent at a later date.

In addition i always use the private note section too as back up.

He probably worried you'll try to find out who he is and snitch on him!? Lol out loud. X

Apparently not on here - people use blocking as an everyday tool to manage their contacts, not as a last resort, as I would normally do.

People don't just block because they are offended or paranoid or have their nose put out of joint. As already said it's simply one of the site tools.

You really shouldn't think it an insult or rude or a comment on you personally.

if youre not offended and not bothered, he has blocked you, then its all good, , normally ppl say about others getting nasty when they have been told no thanks, , atleast he has just

moved on with little fuss

Think yourself lucky you didn't get a nasty message then blocked before you could reply. It's happened to me not just exclusive to couples and females.

Fair point.

If you think that's bad...

I got sent a friend request.

I replied "I'm sorry I don't add random people, I only add those I actually know/chatting to"

She blocked me.

don't sweat it, it's just fab. It's just the way it goes sometimes.

Like the above, but possibly also just to make a point that he's severing ties with people who aren't interested?! It can come across as immature, but then so can cheating on your wife with internet peeps

How do you know he blocked you. You obviously must have tried to click on his profile again, why do that if you had said no.

I think you are aghast that a single guy dared to block first. If you weren't bothered you wouldn't have started this thread.

And if a single guy had started this thread complaining that a couple who turned him down had blocked him he would be chastised for whinging and asked why he went back for another peep - was it to perv at pics?..

It specifically mentions a message from and the actions of a male fabber.

That's a specific member of the site.

Oh dear oh dear

A single guy decides to block you so that he doesn't contact you again and waste his time and yours!

That's pretty normal for this site, and the block button is a useful tool for anyone to use in whatever way they want.

We wouldn't see it as rude at all!

To be fair, it is about another member as mentioned in the first post.

If the question was "is it normal to block people once they have been rejected" then that would have been fine.

To the OP....the site gives us all the tools to use if we wish, he used them.
