For those who work in retail. What is it about customers that really annoy you? Things that aren't one offs that is.

Customers is there anything that the shop floor colleagues does that annoy you on a regulator basis that is down to them alone and not just following orders from upstairs?

little house on the praire

when they stand around chatting, when they are putting your shopping through and talking to the person on the next till. Sticking the refil trollies in the middle of the aisles and hiding half the products on the shelf and not being able to get to them anyway

All of the above, i also hate it when they run out of the special offer and put the same brand but a different size that's dearer than the offer in the space where the offer ran out of...

But talking amongst themselves when serving me really pisses me off, especially when they go slower because of it!!!!

A few weeks ago I went into a shop where I originally applied for a job and didn't get an interview (months before) The girl who served me talked to her friend who was stood behind me.

That really grips my shit, at least I know why I got rejected....I actually know the basics of customer service.

When I am doing my own shopping and queuing. I am the first person to say out loud its rude, etc as I know they can't report me. Off duty and no name badge and most of the time I don't wear my uniform and wear normal clothes so they for know that I work for them. I feel sorry for the cashier too as how are they meant to do there job, which they are being watched on by the way. When you got ignorant people like that

What you expect them to do. Ignore them when they are trying to say hello to them . However that cashier should have managed to keep things quite brief so they could have served you too. When I go to a till. As long as they aren't rude like swearing, etc or being rude to others. If it doesn't slow them down they can carry on doing whatever they are doing whilst serving me. Atleast they are happier that way and a happy workforce is a busy workforce.

Thought I was the only one to think that was an issue. Most staff members can't really be bothered to do that all day, every day. However management/head office clamps down on this to make sure they do it. So if you don't like it. You're best off writing a petition and sending it to head office and let them get back to you. That way colleagues won't to it that often then and people like yourself won't suffer.
