I very rarely listen to the radio, my music collection is full of 80s and 90s songs.

Where's the best place to "discover new music"?

BBC 6 Music without a doubt.

Spotify?

Choose an artist you like and click on "Related Artists", it will give you a choice of between say 10 and 20 similar acts. Choose one and repeat say 4 times you'll be in an entirely new genre. Stop along the way and find a few artists you dont usually listen to.

Last fm (internet site) is like spotify, you can choose a liked artist and it will play similar genres

Or, my favourite place to discover new music is on youtube, start out with a familiar song and then choose a 'related video' I have discovered lots of new music from all around this planet!

Huw Stephens plays a lot of new music on radio 1. All depends what you're into. BBC radio Leeds also has a program dedicated to local new music.

Soundcloud is good for discovering new music.
