It's Saturday, and I need some comfort food, being on my own with no one to cuddle up to.

So, I shall fry up slices of Spam and dunk them in chilli mayo, yum!!!

What are you having for dinner tonight?

Pearl do you ever have anything without mayo? lol.

I picked up a pizza from tesco, was going to cook a nice sausage casserole with mash but spent all afternoon in A&E with my daughter so couldn't be bothered when I got in.

She has recurring stomach problems, which have her in agony, but this time she vomited blood. They say they can't pin point anything in particular to have caused it, she has a kidney infection apparently and so they've given her a course of antibiotics, they had to give her morphine for the pain as its the only thing that helps. Shes such a worry.

Found 2 tins of bacon grill in the cupboard, so I am having one of them instead of Spam.

BTW, when the weather is cold, the tin should sit in hot water to melt the fat around the meat first, otherwise it is blooming hard to get it out of the tin, as I found out just now!

The plus side of having a chef in residence.... a huge fridge and freezer full of goodies.... minus side is when he sees me using a stock cube or bisto or having to help him pluck and draw 30 game birds

Tomato soup, gammon steak with chips, sweet corn and peas, strawberry fruit corner, washed down with a Caribbean coffee.

I had a roasted aubergine vegpot and a pint of T.E.A. (real ale) thought you might like the latter to compliment the spam and chilli mayo, D
