I have seen it in the Lourve twice in different settings and did not think much of it.

However I do not know how to appreciate art in general, unless it is a piece of jewellery.

The reason its revered is it pioneered his effect of stumato (don't quote me on spelling!), where the edges are seamless and merge fluidly as opposed to having a linear effect where it was obvious a drawing. It was the among the first truly naturalistic paintings, in southern Europe at least

Yeah not everything Walt Disney has turned out has been good. Bambi was great but that da Vinci cartoon - minging! Too many songs n a weak storyline imo
