I've been asked to learn a few songs by Extreme from their Pornograffiti album. I'd not listened to it in several years but my god, I'd forgotten how awesome it is. Before anyone asks, no, we're not going to be doing More Than Words.

Anyone else rediscovered an album/artist they'd forgotten about?...

They've officially reformed! Ted joined them onstage a couple of weeks ago.

I often jam with Martin when he's not on tour...

He has a very aggressive right hand. So far I've learned He-Man Woman Hater, Song For Love and Decadence Dance, I think Get The Funk Out is next...

The thing is though, he's so accurate. It's a joy to listen to but a pain to do that stuff. I can solo like a madman but I just dont sweep lol

He doesn't sweep, its tapped! Usually across all six strings. Takes a while to get the hang of it but once you do its quite easy. The intro to He-Man Woman Hater is mostly a trick using delay...

He rarely taps either, he string skips. Did you know the reason he wears ear defenders is because he played through Eddie Van Halen's rig at 5150 at Ed's usual practice volume and it destroyed his hearing!

I saw them at Sheffield city hall a couple of times in the early/mid seventies, though Ted had left by then and Laurie Wisefield had taken his place. They were great
