my hubby has one at the moment he is having it blasted every two weeks he has two more to be done if that don't work they will have to think again ..

very painful they are so do sympathise

I think it only a very small one as the doctor just told me to drink plenty to flush it out, no other treatment required apparently unless the pain gets unbearable

I always thought it required treatment like your OHs, hence why I'm paranoid that it hasn't come out yet

he was told to drink water sometimes it works but in his case stuck the laser breaks it up and he will pee it out

I think they leave them unless they hurt like hell should notice lots of food to avoid too if you google it

Try not to worry about it. Worrying about it is going to make it worse.

Just drink plenty. More than you usuall would. And fingers crossed it will flush itself out.

..if it is a small one like the doctor said, then hopefully you shouldn't be in too much pain.

Like i said, keep your mind off it. It's only going to make things worse.

Mind over matter as they say.

kidney stones are not nice if the water works that's great and I hope it does ... my OH pissed blood for days after the first laser but was still working day after they are horrid things

I've had 2 bouts of stones. The first time, I pissed them out - not too uncomfortable!

However, about 10 years after that, I had them again. Two in fact. One was 5mm, the other 7mm. No way they were coming out on their own. They ended up, reaching through the end of my todger, into my kidney, pulling the smaller one out whole, but blasting the shit out of the larger one. Fortunately, I was 'asleep' at the time!

my OH one is 7mm not sure its gonna work now he had one removed years ago by pulling it out was off work 2 weeks with that one may end up having it done again

I had one cpl of months ago....luckily it was small and broken into small pieces...think bird seed....and by drinking lots of water it flushed through in three days.

There was some pain...burning and for a while it felt like I'd been kicked in the nuts...scarier though was seeing blood come out of the crown jewels.

The Doc put me on a weeks course of antibiotics and the side effects from them was worse than the stone

So expect some mild discomfort for a few days....unless it don't break up and gets stuck...then you will find out why some Women scream in childbirth.

I did get told off by the doctor, he asked how much I drink on a day to day basis...

2 -4 glasses

So I am suffering for it now, tomorrow I'm dieting and drinking more.
