Sometimes. I tend to choose my battles nowadays in the hope that I'll eventually win the war, when I was younger I thought I had to take on all comers.

According to one occupational psychologist, I am a battle axe.

Are we talking personal battles or does serving Queen and Country count?

"Are we talking personal battles or does serving Queen and Country count?"

Both. Some may serve but not be warriors in their personal lives. Others are warriors but not being serving Queen and Country.

An experienced and wise warrior then.

.

No, it was for a job interview to join one of the government's agencies to become an inspector.

What is a warrior when he doesn't meet his match? Is he an undisputed champion or an unproven one?

If s/he's never been challenged I'm not sure s/he can think of themselves as a warrior.

Thats true, or they could be a bully that never punched against or above their own weight. Not making comparisons, just remembering a few people I knew once.

A bit too battered to consider myself a warrior really lol

I forgot to mention I did not get the job, as it would be like trying to fit a round peg in a square hole, i.e. I do not suit the life of a dutiful civil servant!

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Yes I fight for what I believe in.

I should probably pick my battles more carefully but I haven't learnt yet.

I once heard the saying that those who mutter and say "someone should do something about that" should realise they are someone.

I am someone.

If I go through a bad experience I'll try to get things changed so nobody else has to.

I've fought and won some long, drawn out battles with some very large organisations.

I was in my youth, thinking i was immortal and a champion of right, an axe to grind with any that would keep me down or try to bust my ideals with empty rhetoric and broken promises.

Now im just old and tired but i still proudly wear the scars of battle, i just dont hunger for it anymore.

Hunger for it is an interesting phrase. Do old warriors retire?

I am a 'word' warrior - but not a physical fighter

I'll happily wade in verbally if I think something is wrong

I do too. I don't ever use physical force (and not just because most people could hold me off at arms length with one hand).

Need to know basis

"Are you a brave, strong warrior? Do you fight for what you believe?

"

I always fight for what I believe in and often join other's fights. My compatriots are well known for taking a stand even if it means bringing the whole country to a stand still. I am not that fierce...my beliefs and principles guide me they do not rule my life.

I'm more like a Zen warrior, think most battles can be won with a combination of persistence and patience. Brute force is only used as a last resource.
