No as you get people who are already parents to several children feeling it. Single women and parents of nearly all ages feel it.

I am a single parent of two girls..... did I feel broody? .... no cause I'm not a woman..... does every woman I meet feel broody yes!!!! Don't matter what age you are, women do but........6 months later they might not, for me..... sometimes specially seeing me youngest wearing knickers.... I do wish I had a baby..... the first will make you want more, when the second grows up ........ youll want another...... wait until you really want to spend the twat of ur life raising kids!! I thought by the time my youngest is 16 I will travel the world and have a life.... in reality.... I will be changing nappies till me 60's!!! - says the newly elected parent school governor!

I had two boys but was at my broodiest for baby number three. Was terrible, a longing that my husband just didn't understand as he didn't want any more.

We went on to have another boy, and I knew straight away that I didn't want any more babies. Never had a broody moment since.

I think your body tells you more than anything else when the times right

I've spent most of my adult life broody. I have 4 grown up Children and lots of Grandchildren. Far too old to have anymore... But still get broody now

Think for me its not my age being the issue would be the age gap between my daughter and a second child.. 2 or 3 years is the norm id say.

my nephew is 6 years older than my niece and its a great age gap. he loves her to bits and looks after her really well even when she knocks his jumps down in the garden lol and she has been besotted with him since the day she was born

I would say it probably is its all hormonal linked. It affects a guy too those female hormones with production of that one that makes us run like fuck when we see a lion closing in on us.

My daughter is 5 1/2 years older than my son and they have a great relationship, think if they were any closer then they would be at each others throats all day

me and my middle sister are 2 years apart and we fought like cat and dog until i went away to Uni (we are much closer now)

i am 7 years older than my little sister and have never had an argument with her, ever.

I have never had a broody moment in my life.

Which is a good thing considering what the mad scientists have been doing to my chemistry...

But nope, never wanted them and even the fact that it's not likely to be possible now was a relief and caused no distress.

I spent most of my life feeling broody, after my first pregnancy. It seemed to kick all these broody hormones into production. Now that I'm on the other side of the menopause the broody longing has gone and it is such a relief not to have that gnawing at me all the time.

You appear to have cyclical broodiness thinking back to your posts.

I have been called a weirdo and that I'm not long term material as I have never felt broody or maternal towards kids.

Even the thought of being pregnant makes me feel sick

And I am 99% certain that I won't change my mind or regret not having kids.

It'll be hormonal. Ovulation's a bitch. I was never broody for years, then it hit me.

I think it does go in cycles with me....Im 34 in January so sometimes feel my clock is ticking...I know Its not something that should be spoken on here and im sure now every man is going to padlock his dick when he sees me coming lol....ah i don't know just think its one of those weeks where i think i wish my life to be a little bit different...

i get broody and im 52, lucky i got a little dog to cuddle.

remember once i was out walking my little dog and this old lady about my age said, oh what a gorgeous little dog, god i feel broody. Cant believe she said that.
