then again it could be that the youngest can easily be replaced by one of the older able to breed meerkats..

who can also go out to hunt for the group..

More or Less disproved a QI fact a few weeks ago. They may not really send the baby.

Not many motorways or main roads where they live though, just an occasional toyota landcruiser tootling about !!

It happens at Kestrels too. All the meerkats are male though.
