Man in Ohio declared legally dead after vanishing for over 8 years. Reappears and tries to get a driving license etc. Judge says sorry your legally dead despite sitting in courtroom!

So could this guy commit crime and not be tried because he is legally dead ?

It's not so much that the law is an ass.

It's more a case of American red neck bible bashers (Ohio is smack in the republican bible belt) are total arses.
