Just a wee word of warning to everyone re photo's on public view on here,

we came across a photo on FB which had the fabswingers profile name still on it on a facebook page, concerned we messaged the profile and as suspected it wasnt put there by them but had been copied and pasted.....now removed after they complained but how many more are there out there????

My pics ain't on display, so I ain't really that worried !!

Thing is, any pic that you upload onto the internet is free range.. If you don't want your pics C&P or stolen, don't upload them.... simple!

this is worrying, I watched Panorama a couple of weeks ago, the topic was dating sites and how the sites hire people to set up fake profiles etc to try and keep hold of punters that are about to leave as their membership is due to lapse, anyway they showed you a way of finding a person on other forums or sites simply by dragging and dropping a photo into Google images, just wonder how many face pics etc have been stolen from other sites and used to set up fake profiles?

I guess this is a good tool to use to see for yourself if your pic pops up somewhere else?

I had a message on here from a man. When I looked at his pictures, 2 of them were of the first fella I met on here(and have since). I asked if they were him in the pictures and he said Yes . I told him it was strange as I had seen that body in the flesh and funnily enough I didn't here from him again. Told the owner of the pictures and think he sorted it out.

Something very similar happened to us last time we were on here, that's why we left.

We don't have face pics on here now, not even in private, we only email them, it does cause a problem with some people, but we would rather forfeit some good meets for our peace of mind this time around.

As Angel said. If its on the internet its public domain.

Don't know if anyone has heard of the car site "Barry Boys". Any badly modified cars are on there, with pictures taken by the public. The owners often come on and threaten court action but to no avail.

I think using pictures to impersonate is a different matter though.
