All of the above, and more...

People who block me, as I've known people unblock, when they come down, off whatever they were elevated on. No changing your mind, in my bin.

Plus, I use it mainly in the chat room, for people, who well, I'd just walk away from, if I were to meet them in day to day life.

I so wish it was able to hold more than 500, I sometimes go in there, to delete people, who haven't been on for over 6 months or more. I've removed names, that haven't signed in for over 1 or 2 years, it would be good, if the site was able to delete members who aren't active, over a certain timescale. As its a right ball ache, also not the best for people who you have blocked, to then rock up talking to me, whilst on cam :/

You'd have to be pretty damn rude or annoying to provoke a block from me ... I much prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt if I can.

However, there are one or two things that really piss me off and will cause me to use the block button.

Gay men getting pushy will get blocked if they don't take the hint.

If a woman or couple deletes a message without even opening or reading it, after I've taken the time to think what to say and type it out, I definitely block them straight away - I can't be arsed with time wasters who invite people to contact them only to treat them with such offhand contempt.

Similarly, if I happen across a particularly arrogant or hateful profile, I'll block that too. I love the people with whom I share my life and I find happiness in letting them into my personal space - anyone with an arrogant profile will probably also be an arrogant person, and I don't want to pollute my life by letting them anywhere near me.

To me - as well as a tool to block idiots, abusive twats and those that cause offence via messages, status updates or forum posts - it's just another filter!

So if someone contacts me and there's absolutely no chance of me ever being interested in meeting or chatting - I'll block them - if only to save them time should they try and get in touch again - and also to streamline any searches I undertake.

People get hung up about the block button - but you can use it however you see fit without having to justify it to others!

I always used to block those that didn't include a joke in their initial message but I'm getting soft in my old age and just deleting the message more times than not nowadays, there's about 3 people who arranged meets then dropped off the radar or didn't confirm and maybe 4 who've posted something I consider hugely offensive on the fora (and I'm pretty broad minded)...all in all I've about 300 on my block list I think - I won't fret over it or whether others prefer not to block, it's down to each individual to use site tools as they see fit

I have two people on my block list. Both men who wouldn't take no for an answer when I politely declined their offers.

What amuses me is the people who say they use the blocking option on others because they don't like what they say in the forums. It's their conceited/presumptuous attitude that those they've blocked would have inevitably contacted them that puts a smile on my face.

There are very few regular posters' profiles I haven't looked at and have noticed I've been blocked by a couple of them. As I had previously been able to view those profiles and haven't messaged them I can only assume I've been blocked because they were so irresistible it was inevitable I would eventually contact them.

And yes, I fully expect to be on a few more blocked lists after this post

Blocking isn't rude or ignorant, it's a block and that's that. I find it astonishing how many people get upset about being blocked (would suggest to me the blocker made the right decision).

If you feel that me blocking you might cause you emotional turmoil, feel free to "pre" block me and save yourself the tears of sadness.

As a rule I block, people I have no interest in, people with views about race/cultures/nations/politics and life that I find incompatible with my own.

As you've not blocked me I'm going to presume you don't yet think I'm an arsewipe

The word arse does come to mind when I see your profile, but it's preceded by the word nice "

Lol well I'm... I'm... yeah...well

I use the block button as I see fit, and do not believe I need to justify my action to anyone.

We use ours all the time, hate it when someone sends a message and it says on profile we messaged 6 months ago but dont know what was said!

So we block so we know either not to contact someone who wasnt interested in us or we wasnt interested in them

"I use the block button as I see fit, and do not believe I need to justify my action to anyone. "

My action involves a large slow rotation of the arm, lifting on to tip toes, a child like satanic laugh, and a strong push down on the mouse.

And then I sit and ponder as to how much it must not bother them very much.

"I've adjusted my ( filters ) now.

No ( gay ) men can contact me.

No ( TV's & TS's ) can contact me

& no " MM " can contact me.

Thank-u, 4 letting me no."

We are the opposite as we blocked straight males who contacted us. But then it got tedious do out came the filter.
