Blocking people

Does anyone else find that even when they have blocked someone, that person still manages to message them?

Can someone deactivate their profile and then reactivate it so any blocks that were placed on them by other users seem to clear?

I'm sure I've had persistent users message me from the same profile even after I have blocked them.

They can delete and put it back up again I guess.

That's initially what I thought, but then the time frame for how long they have been a member was too long, so had to discard that theory

If you have blocked 500 people, when you block the 501 person, others you have blocked, 1,2 or 3 years ago, start to fall out the bottom

I personally think the 'looked at me list' should be shorter, to allow more room in the bin.

I go in chat, for anyone wondering why you would go over the 500 limit.

There's a limit to the number of people you can block?? So if 501 people send you rude messages you'd rather block that acknowledge, then the site is setup to make that impossible?? I find it hard to accept that the site would have that in place, and if so, then the site should have other measures that support either ing out undesireables in the first place, otherwise letting you block as many as possible.

I've noticed people who I blocked 12 months ago and re-message me, don't know if they fall off the list or what. I once blocked one guy with 3 different profiles, he had the same pic on each profile and very similar user names, so the person you blocked may have multiple accounts?

You do realise you can block people who have blocked you either by using a message they have sent you or by going to your block list and typing their username in.

From what I understand as I asked this the other day , there is no limit to how many you can block however if you use chat and have over 500 some of them may not work. I think that is what was meant.

I blocked them when they were sending numerous messages. But as someone else mentioned they could have numerous profiles with the same pics and only slightly different profile names so might be where I have got the thought that they have still been able to message

How do you block someone who has never messaged you?
