Doesn't it do your heart proud to see how people can rally together?

South West

Having worked on the show I can say the people are doing it for the right reasons even though it's still a business and a job the atmosphere is great. Oh and Nicks a little scared of flying, lol.

I was filling up, too.

But I was also thinking about the 15 Minute thread. Can people only rally together for short-term projects, or are long-term mass ones like Care For Your Neighbour also feasible?

The land of grey peas and bacon

They make it affordable housing not like our cousins across the Atlantic sea who do programmes like this to a larger scale and the people end up loosing their home as after the build the property became unaffordable to them...

Really? Hadn't heard that side to the story (never seen those across-the-pond programs either). How stupid. If that's the case, is nobody adapting the idea?

I read up on updates through friends of the family through a local twins group, apparently Reuben is going in for a big operation soon. They have been in that house for a year now and it has improved their lives immensely

They wised up over there and started paying off mortgages etc...as the mortgage system is a lot different over there then here,,,and they scaled down builds etc

It might not always provide the good news story the original programme would wish.
