Bradford is a city too, though you may not see their Cathedral, lol.

Last time i was there 2012, they had a large street plan on display showing a big shaded grey area ( in reality a big hole where they'd dug up a fair bit of the city centre, boarded up with very tall boarding, about 20' in front of he cathedral.)

The best bit, the 2012 street map shows "Date of Completion" as 2008.

Still, it could be the capital one day.

A couple or so year back, when the Shannon Matthews thing was on, a fair number of people from that district applied to be moved out of Dewsbury and into Mirfield. Rejected of course.

Hell, even Bradford would reject Dewsbury as a suburb.

Clue for anyone thinking of visiting Bradford :

Have a look at a map first, think and ask yerself why the motorway itself (M606) stops halfway before getting there. You cannot say you haven't been warned.

Also, if yer coming from the north, north west turn around before you get near Keighley.

I saw that list. It was crap. The top spot wasnt even a town, only the country's biggest capital. And Gibraltar was there too (UK towns... Gibraltar... okay).

1. Middlesborough (southbank,grangetown areas)

This is a proper shiiithole last time I was there no houses had windows so some streets just steel grids and I've never seen so many pitbulls being took for a walk!!!

2 Grimsby (food town) or more to the point fishy smelling shiiithole its joined on to a seaside called cleethorpes known locally as "the last resort"

I'd like to see Sue Lawley walk down the high street. There's chavs on one side letting their dogs shit in the street while they have a fag outside the pub, and betting shops, money lenders and charity shops on the other side.

We do have a Greggs, queue a mile long at lunch, all the way past both pound shops.

There's a lot of nice working class people here, pay my wages, that's a fact

But when Westfield openned the Merry Hill, the town centre fell off a cliff and into the abyss.
