My lad has got beaten up on the way home from school for doing the right thing.

Short version his friend told him he wanted to kill himself and told him why. My son took the friend to his pastoral tutor and they talked...

Now because it was acted on my son got beaten up for spreading rumours.. it's ludicrous...

But I'm more cross at getting told to f off by the parents involved, shrugged off by the school and given a date next week for my lad to make a statement to the police...

All because he did what was right....

Fuming right now xxx

"Unbelievable!!! "

To be honest the parents fine, pretty much expected it. but school and police.. not happy.. having to about sit on his big sister now as the instigator is about her age.

My son now doesn't want to give his evidence now to anyone.

Awful position for him to be in but surely the other parents involved should be helping their son rather than telling you to do one?

I can't say much about why my son thought he had to tell the teachers but it was an accusation against the step parent. Hence not surprised... But even so.. my son has just acted on what his friend has told him.

My lad is currently writing it down so it's fresh when the police finally bother to talk to him.

To be fair it's more the fact that my son's been brought into this that I am annoyed at. He should've been able to remain anonymous.

Thats the best thing to do. And not to spread rumours, since that seems to be a hot potato right here, but it sounds like the parents are hiding something.

I would give a quick call to your social services as child protection should have been the schools priority, not only for your sons friend but your son 2 as he now has become a victim.

(i work in a hospital and we have to be extremely careful as not to pass the details of anyone to another without consent and social services and schools should do the same) I do hope your lad's ok

ignore this....just seen that your son took the friend to pastoral care rather than just told them.

so it wasnt the friend that beat him up?
